The UW-Stout men's and women's track and field teams will compete at the 2016 WIAC Outdoor Championships Friday, May 6, and Saturday, May 7 at UW-Whitewater. The Blue Devil men last year finished fourth, while the women finished seventh.

Freshman Josh Freyholtz captured three top 10 finishes and Christian Lucchesi took a first place in the pole vault at the St. Mary's University Open Saturday.
Two relay teams competed at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, Friday, while a pair of Blue Devil senior distance runners competed at the Gina Relays in Hillsdale, Mich.
UW-Stout's Ethen Schoen won the decathlon at the Phil Esten Challenge at UW-La Crosse, April 21-22 and was named the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) track and field athlete of the week.
Brother and sister Robert Mesenburg and Laura Mesenburg grew up together and were pretty typical siblings. Over the last three years, the siblings have been teammates on the UW-Stout track and field team where both compete in the pole vault.
