La Crosse, Wis. - University of Wisconsin-La Crosse junior Bria Halama of Independence (H.S.) and senior Laura Mead of Andover, Minn. (H.S.) have been named to the 2014-15 Capital One Academic All-America Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team, as voted by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Halama was selected to the Capital One Academic All-America First Team while Mead earned Academic All-America Second Team honors. Halama is one of 17 student-athletes selected to the first team while Mead is one of 13 second team choices.
