Carita Goines Green was a multi-sport athlete at UW-Stout in the early 1990s, excelling at both basketball and track and field. A four-year letterwinner as the Blue Devil women's basketball team was establishing itself as a power within the league and nationally, Goines-Green is a three-time conference 400-meter champion and twice won the 200-meter title. Goines-Green was the NCAA Division III 400-meter runner-up twice and was inducted into the UW-Stout Hall of Fame in 2004. Her outdoor 200- and 400-meter school records still stand.
